Selective amnesia

The Sunday Guardian - - World -

Sir, Apropos of Virendra Kapoor’s Modi is no ordinary politician, he is made of sterner stuff (5 November), the Gandhis believe they are the only people who have done good work for India. However the fact is a completely different. Nehru’s indecision on Kashmir gives a rotten fruit till this very day. Also when these people talk of GST being Gabbar Singh Tax, they forget to mention the mammoth 97.5% tax levied by Indira Gandhi, which fast tracked this country to corruption and black money. Finally, we have a leader like Narendra Modi, who’s ready to clean this rot and as an Indian I am ready to bear this burden for some time for the future of my country and for myself as well.
