SOLDIER KILLED IN PAKISTANI FIRING ON LOC
JAMMU: An Indian Army soldier was killed on Saturday in a Pakistani ceasefire violation on the Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir’s Rajouri district, a defence officer said. “The Pakistan Army resorted to unprovoked ceasefire violation in Sunderbani at around 9.45 a.m.,” Defence Ministry spokesman Lieutenant Colonel Devender Anand said. The soldier succumbed to injuries from sniper fire. Meanwhile, a report from Srinagar said security forces on Saturday gunned down two heavily armed terrorists hiding in a village in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pulwama district, police said.
