WR may run only four AC ser­vices per day ini­tially

Mum­bai: The much-awaited air-con­di­tioned lo­cal, ex­pected to roll out from Jan­uary 1, 2018, may have only four ser­vices per day ini­tially. WR gen­eral man­ager AK Gupta vis­ited the carshed at Mum­bai Cen­tral on Tues­day to in­ter­act with of­fi­cials of Bharat Heavy Elec­tri­cals Ltd (BHEL) and Re­search, Stan­dards and De­sign Or­gan­i­sa­tion (RDSO) to in­spect the AC rake.

A se­nior WR of­fi­cial said Gupta was miffed as some is­sues still need to be fixed. “The po­si­tion of the switches in the mo­tor­man’s cabin has to be changed. Be­sides there are some snags with the soft­ware too. Of­fi­cials as­sured him the rake would be
