Hawkers near stn: 1day suspension for civic staffer
Mumbai: The BMC has suspended one of its inspectors for a day for failing to act against illegal hawkers outside Dadar (W) station.
His suspension will be applicable for November 15, after which he can report to work, said a source.
BMC inspector Vijendra Dhanawde is deployed with an anti-encroachment vehicle. Another source said that despite clear instructions to not allow hawkers conduct on or near railway station premises, some vendors were seen on the western side of Dadar station, which led to Dhanawde’s suspension.
