Rajkot: A couple from Savarkundla town in Gujarat’s Amreli district enjoyed rare happy moments in the last two years when PM Narendra Modi arranged for free medical treatment for their ailing 12-year-old son, in response to their handwritten letter seeking help for their son’s debilitating neurolo- gical disease. But a year on, diamond polisher Dinesh Maisurya has written to the PM, this time seeking euthanasia permission for his son, Parth.

“Parth suffers seizures 8-10 times in a minute. He has been in this condition for 15 months. We can’t bear his suffering anymore,” said Maisurya.
