Un­nao: Sen­gar chargesheeted for fram­ing fa­ther of vic­tim

Luc­know/New Delhi: The CBI on Fri­day filed the third chargesheet in the Un­nao rape case in a spe­cial CBI court in Luc­know and named 10 peo­ple, in­clud­ing BJP MLA Kuldeep Singh Sen­gar, for falsely im­pli­cat­ing the mi­nor rape sur­vivor’s fa­ther in an Arms Act case.

The nine oth­ers in­clude sta­tion house of­fi­cer Ashok Singh Bhadau­riya, SI Kamta Prasad and con­sta­ble Amir Khan, all of Makhi po­lice sta­tion in Un­nao; the MLA’s brother Atul Singh Sen­gar, Tinku Singh, Vi­nay Mishra, Bauwa Singh, Sonu Singh and Su­man Singh.

The CBI has framed charges un­der Sec­tions 166, 167, 193, 201, 218 read with Sec­tion 120B of IPC and Sec­tion 3/25 of Arms Act. Ex­cept the MLA’s brother and con­sta­ble Amir Khan, the other ac­cused are in jail. Sen­gar, four­time MLA from Ban­gar­mau, was chargesheeted for al­legedly rap­ing the mi­nor girl at his res­i­dence last year. The agency has claimed that the lo­cal po­lice did not regis­ter an FIR. The girl’s fa­ther was booked by the po­lice on al­le­ga­tions of bran­dish­ing a pis­tol and put in prison when he filed a case.
