Ram, farm & jobs on Cong’s MP man­i­festo

Bhopal: Show­cas­ing the party’s ‘soft-Hin­du­vta’ face, the Congress elec­tion man­i­festo re­leased on Satur­day has promised to launch a ‘Ram Van Ga­man Path’ tour to re­trace Lord Ram’s foot­prints in MP and set up a new ‘re­li­gion and spir­i­tual de­part­ment’ that plans to be­gin com­mer­cial pro­duc­tion of cow urine and cow dung cakes in gausha­las. It also pledges to pass a law to pro­tect Nar­mada river. Congress has also promised to shut down Vya­pam, waive farm loans of up to Rs 2 lakh and con­sti­tute a ‘Vid­han Par­ishad’ in MPassem­bly. Vot­ing for 18 con­stituen­cies in MP will be held on Novem­ber 12. The Mand­saur po­lice fir­ing that killed five farm­ers will be rein­ves­ti­gated if Congress comes to power, says the party’s man­i­festo, which it has named ‘Vachan Pa­tra (Pledge Doc­u­ment)’.
