Spl cell gets officer from crime branch
New Delhi: Additional commissioner, Delhi Police, Alok Kumar, has been transferred to the special cell from the crime branch.
The special cell was looking for an experienced officer after joint commissioner, special cell, Vivek Gogia, went on a study leave to the National Defence College. Kumar would be leading a unit under the special commissioner.
He has already served as an ACP with the special unit and is a veteran in the Batla House encounter. Kumar is considered to be an expert on gang rivalries in Delhi and terror outfits operating around the country.
