‘Min­istry staff’ dupe bank of 93L

A case has been reg­is­tered on a com­plaint by an em­ployee of ICICI Bank with the Crime Branch, they added. The ac­cused per­sons took loans from the bank to the tune of Rs 93.80 lakh by sub­mit­ting fake ID cards of the min­istry and other doc­u­ments. The fraud hap­pened in 2016 and fol­low­ing the dis­cov­ery of the fraud, an in­ter­nal in­quiry was con­ducted by the bank, po­lice said.
