Ma­jor fire at iconic RK Stu­dio in Mum­bai

A ma­jor fire broke out on Satur­day on the sets of dance re­al­ity show “Su­per Dancer” at the iconic RK Stu­dio, founded by leg­endary Raj Kapoor in subur­ban Chem­bur, in which its ground floor was gut­ted, of­fi­cials said. No ca­su­al­ties were re­ported, they said. Six fire tenders and five wa­ter tankers were rushed to the site to con­tain the blaze, a se­nior fire brigade of­fi­cial said. Though some episodes of the re­al­ity show were shot at the stu­dio, there was no shoot planned for Satur­day, sources said. P S Ra­hang­dale, chief of the Mum­bai fire brigade, said, “The blaze was brought un­der con­trol by evening. on Satur­day ap­pre­hended three mi­nors, all aged 16, for al­legedly rap­ing a 13-year-old girl. The al­leged crime came to light when the girl was found to be preg­nant and car­ry­ing a dead fe­tus, po­lice said. She told her mother that a boy took her to his house forcibly and raped her ten months ago. The girl told po­lice that two other boys had also raped her.
