PM to launch Bihar projects worth 5K cr
Patna: Prime minister Narendra Modi will be arriving on Saturday to participate in Patna University (PU) centenary function and will also lay the foundation of infrastructure projects worth nearly Rs 5,000 crore at Mokama.
The PM will then fly to Mokama where he will lay foundation of four Rs 3,031-crore national highway projects and construction of a Rs 1,161crore six-lane bridge on Ganga, besides sewage treatment plants and related works in Patna worth Rs 738.04 crore.
This will be the PM’s first full-fledged official tour to Bihar since the BJP joined the coalition. In August, Modi and CM Nitish Kumar had made an aerial survey of the flood-hit districts of the state. BJP state unit chief Nityanand Rai ruled out any talks on special status to the state during the PM’s visit.
