CM Gives Nod At DUSIB Meet
New Delhi: Chief minister Arvind Kejriwal chaired the 22nd board meeting of Delhi Urban Shelter Improvement Board (DUSIB) on Friday and approved development work in 750 JJ clusters across the city.
The board prepared a consolidated estimate for completion of pavements and drains including repair works in all the JJ clusters. The work will be completed in one year and the Delhi government will provide the required funds for these repair and construction work to DUSIB.
To keep all the toilet complexes clean, the board approved engagement of specialised agencies for maintenance of all 700 Jan Suvidha Complexes in the JJ clusters.
“These agencies will maintain the complexes by deploying mechanical equipment and professional cleaning services. The board also approved the demand for survey of all JJ clusters in Delhi and issuance of a pro- visional survey certificate to the JJ dwellers — with photograph of the occupants of the surveyed units,” said a Delhi government spokesperson.
The board approved maintenance of 414 shishu vatikas by engaging professional agencies. “It also gave its nod to the proposal of opening gyms in all the DUSIB shishu vatikas wherever feasible. A 6-acre park will be developed at Tilak Vihar,” said the spokesperson.
DUSIB has kept provision of Rs 785.21 crore as budget for fiscal year 2018-19 to implement various schemes including night shelters, toilet complexes, shishu vatikas etc.
