Statue of Unity: 2cr rev­enue from tick­ets

Ra­jnish Agar­wal, 37, who came from In­dore, said, “We reached Ke­va­dia Colony at around noon on Fri­day but the ticket win­dow for the ob­ser­va­tion deck was closed. We saw the mu­seum, the dam and the Val­ley of Flow­ers. “The main pur­pose of com­ing here was to get a view of the area from the ob­ser­va­tion deck on the statue, but this was not pos­si­ble. Our chil­dren were very dis­ap­pointed.”

“There was a huge rush of peo­ple from the state and those from Ra­jasthan, Mad­hya Pradesh and Ma­ha­rash­tra,” said PC Vyas, chief en­gi­neer, Sar­dar Sarovar Nigam Ltd. Vyas added that over the last one week, Rs 2.25 crore was gen­er­ated from ticket sales.
