GST de­lib­er­a­tions power up con­fer­ence

Over 300 UNIGLOBE travel pro­fes­sion­als from across South Asia gath­ered at Imag­ica, Mumbai, to Feel the Power of valu­able in­sights, net­work­ing and cel­e­bra­tion of in­di­vid­ual and col­lec­tive achieve­ments.

The re­cently con­cluded 12th An­nual UNIGLOBE Re­gional Con­fer­ence and Ex­cel­lence Awards, was hosted at Imag­ica in Mumbai. Themed ‘Feel the Power’, the con­fer­ence at­tracted over 300 UNIGLOBE travel pro­fes­sion­als from South Asia. The con­fer­ence saw two days of de­lib­er­a­tions over GST and stim­u­lat­ing ed­u­ca­tional ses­sions on lead­er­ship, be­sides the un­veil­ing of two ground-break­ing tech­nol­ogy so­lu­tions from UNIGLOBE.

The high­light of the con­fer­ence was the launch of UKon­nect, an end-to-end, net­work­ing and col­lab­o­ra­tion tool that brings over 1500 UNIGLOBE pro­fes­sion­als on a sin­gle plat­form to ex­change ideas, share knowl­edge and dis­cuss the lat­est trends. Also, un­veiled at the con­fer­ence was an im­proved ver­sion of the com­pany’s flag­ship agent book­ing tool, Com­plete Ac­cess On­line, and a pre­view of up­com­ing prod­ucts, in­clud­ing the ‘what’ and ‘how’ of the de­vel­op­ments on GST.

An in­ter­ac­tive and thought-pro­vok­ing ses­sion by Raja Nate­san, CEO, UNIGLOBE Travel (South Asia), shed light on how UNIGLOBE pro­fes­sion­als can recog­nise new op­por­tu­ni­ties to turn them into step­ping stones of suc­cess for clients. In other ses­sions, Raja, re­vealed what it takes to ar­rive at the most favourable out­come when faced with tough busi­ness dilem­mas and per­form the ul­ti­mate bal­anc­ing act in ac­quir­ing power and learn­ing how to use it more ef­fec­tively as lead­ers.

A part of this year’s star at­trac­tion was the key­note ses­sion, where ac­tor Ro­hit Roy let the at­ten­dees in on his ‘mantra for suc­cess.’ Over 40 sup­pli­ers from dif­fer­ent cat­e­gories in­clud­ing leisure, tech­nol­ogy, in­sur­ance, banks, ho­tels, air­lines and des­ti­na­tion man­age­ment com­pa­nies came to­gether for ‘The Sup­plier Show­case’ that served as a plat­form for par­tic­i­pants to es­tab­lish, re­new and build suc­cess­ful part­ner­ships with their pre­ferred sup­pli­ers and gain a bet­ter un­der­stand­ing of their of­fer­ings.

Awards for top-level sales and rev­enue growth achieve­ments were given to the own­ers of UNIGLOBE mem­ber agen­cies from across the South Asia re­gion. The 12th An­nual Ex­cel­lence Awards fe­lic­i­tated top in­di­vid­ual per­form­ers across 11 award cat­e­gories. The awards in­cluded recog­ni­tion for Coun­selors, Man­agers, Sales, Ac­counts, Leisure and Fa­cil­i­ta­tion per­son­nel at var­i­ous lev­els of per­for­mance as­sess­ment. “As ev­ery year, it was great to bond, in­ter­act and learn with our fel­low UNIGLOBE fam­ily mem­bers around South Asia at the con­fer­ence. The rides and ex­pe­ri­ences at Imag­ica Theme and Snow Parks, along with the ‘Dress as a Toon’ and ‘Pi­rates’ themed din­ners on Days 1 and 2 of the con­fer­ence, only added the much wel­come fun el­e­ment to the ren­dezvous,” con­cludes Ch.
