Europa­mundo lures In­di­ans

Europa­mundo Va­ca­ciones has wit­nessed a 30 per cent growth from the In­dia mar­ket in 2017 over 2016 and hopes to grow by 50 per cent in 2018.

Europa­mundo Va­ca­ciones, a coach tour com­pany from Spain, op­er­at­ing glob­ally, saw 30 per cent growth in the num­ber of In­dian trav­ellers tak­ing their ser­vices in 2017 over 2016. Luis Gar­cía Co­drón, Chief Ex­ec­u­tive Of­fi­cer, Europa­mundo Va­ca­ciones, says, “We started of­fer­ing our prod­uct in In­dia only two years ago and have catered to al­most 6000 In­dian pas­sen­gers till now. This year we saw a 30 per cent growth over our de­but year last year and hope to record around 50 per cent growth next year with over 9000 In­dian pas­sen­gers.”

Co­drón in­forms that the com­pany caters to over 150,000 pas­sen­gers ev­ery year from across the globe and is plan­ning to in­tro­duce some newer itin­er­ar­ies for Morocco, Italy, France, Scan­di­navia, Ja­pan and Rus­sia in 2018. He points out that the In­dian trav­ellers are very in­ter­est­ing as they have an eye for de­tail and tend to en­joy land­scape, na­ture, snow, moun­tains, etc. “We are very happy with the re­sponse we have re­ceived from our In­dian clients and this will help us cater to them in a bet­ter way, we are go­ing to in­tro­duce spe­cial itin­er­ar­ies de­signed for the In­dian clients. We un­der­stand that In­di­ans are very sen­si­tive about their meals and hence, we will of­fer In­dian meals dur­ing the tours,” says Co­drón.

She says, “The clients trav­el­ling with us have a va­ri­ety to choose from. They can either take an en­tire coach tour from one des­ti­na­tion to the other or can choose to take a part of the trip with us, de-board and board again at some other des­ti­na­tion. The beauty of our ser­vice is that no trip is ever can­celled.” The com­pany is a pure B2B provider wherein Europa­mundo sells var­i­ous prod­ucts to the dis­tributers in In­dia and no cus­tomer can make di­rect book­ings with them. The com­mis­sion of­fered is higher than the av­er­age mar­ket stan­dard, in­forms Ba­suma­lik.
