In­ter­na­tional exhibitions key to lead gen­er­a­tion

Travel trade exhibitions are lead gen­er­at­ing plat­forms where par­tic­i­pants from In­dia can meet in­ter­na­tional buy­ers and ex­hibitors, feels Atul Khanna, Gen­eral Man­ager-Sales, A-La-Carte Tours. “I have no­ticed a re­duc­tion in foot­fall at var­i­ous in­ter­na­tional s shows. Though busi­ness is done much later, trade shows are net­work­ing plat­forms to get ac­quainted with new and ex­ist­ing i clients. Th­ese plat­forms bridge the gap be­tween In­dia and the world and of­fer an in­sight into the pop­u­lar travel trends,” h he says. Khanna says they’re work­ing with mar­kets in Turkey, Brazil, Ro­ma­nia and Nor­way. “I think 2018 will be a bet­ter y year for in­bound busi­ness. How­ever, there is still am­bi­gu­ity around GST for ho­tels, which needs to be ironed out,” he adds.
