South African Tourism In­dia Of­fice is fo­cused on trade and con­sumer ini­tia­tives aligned to­wards driv­ing aware­ness and de­mand for ad­ven­ture and wildlife of­fer­ings in 2018, re­veals Alpa Jani, Act­ing Hub Head MEISEA, South African Tourism In­dia Of­fice. “One of the fo­cus ar­eas is to go be­yond Cape Town, Dur­ban and Jo­han­nes­burg to cre­ate aware­ness about new des­ti­na­tions n such as Oudt­shoorn, Knysna, Plet­ten­berg Bay, Port El­iz­a­beth, Drak­ens­berg re­gion and the Panorama Route,” e ex­plains Jani. She be­lieves that to­day’s trav­ellers are tech-savvy and in­dulge in more ad­ven­tur­ous trips. “We are one of the v very few in­ter­na­tional tourism boards in In­dia to have a stand-alone dig­i­tal pres­ence in the mar­ket,” she adds.
