In the week when a brand-new air­port and in­ter Kan­nur and Cali­cut re­spec­tively, the state suf­fered air­port, roads to re­sorts, ev­ery­thing saw huge dev­as­ta­tion. With the wa­ter sub­sid­ing now, the air­port and high­ways have re-opened and peo­ple are back to putting pieces of their life to­gether. How­ever, the tourism in­dus­try is pos­i­tive that they would be With an es­ti­mated loss of ` 1000 crore in to­tal for tourism busi­ness, of which ` 120 crore is only be­cause of can­cel­la­tions, reach­ing nor­malcy looks quite far-fetched cur­rently. But, the en­tire coun­try, espe­cially the travel in­dus­try is mak­ing sure own coun­try, and we hope that the state starts get­ting new book­ings soon.
