Emi­rates fleet be­ing re­vamped

Emi­rates has be­gun to phase out Air­bus A330 and A340 air­lin­ers con­sol­i­dat­ing its fleet with the Boe­ing 777 and Air­bus A380. Since Jan­uary 2015, Emi­rates has phased out 18 A330s and five A340s. The air­line plans to re­place a fur­ther 25 air­craft from its fleet over the course of 2017 and 2018. In 2016, Emi­rates took de­liv­ery of 36 new air­craft, con­sist­ing of 20 Air­bus A380s and 16 777s and the ‘next gen­er­a­tion’ 777-300ER with up­graded Busi­ness Class seats.
