Four air­lines have re­port­edly been short­listed by Air Mada­gas­car as po­ten­tial strate­gic part­ners, who would ac­quire up to 49% of Air Mada­gas­car. Th­ese are Air Aus­tral, Kenya Air­ways, South Africa’s Air­link and Air Mau­ri­ius. Mala­gasy Min­is­ter of Trans­port Ben­jam­ina Ra­mar­cel Ra­manantsoa has said, “We are on track with the process. Air Mada­gas­car will take to the skies with its new strate­gic part­ner dur­ing the first half of 2017.”
