Ad­di­tional C-17 for the IAF

The US State Depart­ment has ap­proved the sale of an­other C-17 heavy lift trans­port air­craft for In­dia, at an es­ti­mated cost of $366. 2 mil­lion. Along­side, the Gov­ern­ment of In­dia has re­quested four F-117-PW-100 tur­bo­fan engines, plus one AN/AAR-47 Mis­sile Warn­ing Sys­tem, one AN/ALE-47 Coun­ter­mea­sures Dis­pens­ing Sys­tem (CMDS), one AN/APX-119 Iden­ti­fi­ca­tion Friend or Foe (IFF) Transpon­der, pre­ci­sion nav­i­ga­tion equip­ment, spares and re­pair parts, main­te­nance, sup­port and test equip­ment, pub­li­ca­tions and tech­ni­cal doc­u­men­ta­tion, war­ranty, qual­ity as­sur­ance, ferry sup­port, US Gov­ern­ment and con­trac­tor en­gi­neer­ing, lo­gis­tics and tech­ni­cal sup­port ser­vices, plus other re­lated el­e­ments of lo­gis­tics and pro­gramme sup­port.
