The Peru­vian Min­istry of De­fence has now taken de­liv­ery of all 20 KT-1P Torito tur­bo­prop pri­mary train­ers. The fi­nal air­craft was one of 16 man­u­fac­tured by SEMAN Perú, the Main­te­nance

Ser­vice of the FAP, in conjunction with Korea Aero­space In­dus­tries (KAI). A $209m co-pro­duc­tion con­tract for 20 air­craft was signed between Peru and the Repub­lic of Korea in Novem­ber 2012, and in­cluded tech­nol­ogy trans­fer, a parts man­u­fac­tur­ing fa­cil­ity and a flight sim­u­la­tor. The first four air­craft were built at KAI fa­cil­i­ties in South Korea, while the re­main­ing 16 were co-pro­duced by KAI and SEMAN.
