The Emi­rates Flight Train­ing Academy was for­mally in­au­gu­rated by His High­ness Shaikh Mo­ham­mad Bin Rashid Al Mak­toum, Vice-Pres­i­dent and Prime Min­is­ter of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, on 13 Novem­ber 2017, on side­lines of the Dubai Air Show.

This ded­i­cated fa­cil­ity near Al Mak­toum Air­port has a ded­i­cated 1.8km run­way, in­de­pen­dent air traf­fic con­trol fa­cil­i­ties and a fleet of 27 train­ing air­craft in ad­di­tion to flight sim­u­la­tors. With a ca­pac­ity of 600 cadets, with ac­com­mo­da­tion for both men and women, it has 36 class­rooms and a 350-seat au­di­to­rium, plus in-house din­ing fa­cil­i­ties.
