Das­sault reaf­firms com­mit­ments to ‘Make in In­dia’

Dur­ing their four-day visit to Delhi, Bana­glore, Mum­bai and Hy­der­abad in April 2018, ma­jor French com­pa­nies, as part of GIFAS, the French aerospace in­dus­tries as­so­ci­a­tion, reaf­firmed their plans for ‘Mak­ing in In­dia’ of key aerospace prod­ucts. In­ter­est­ingly, M. Eric Trap­pier, who is Chair­man of GIFAS and Chair­man/CEO of Das­sault Avi­a­tion also chaired meet­ings of the Das­sault Avi­a­tion Ex­ec­u­tive Com­mit­tee in New Delhi, stress­ing the im­por­tance of In­dia in the Com­pany’s vi­sion and his own ded­i­ca­tion to suc­cess­fully im­ple­ment his com­pany’s com­mit­ments to ‘Make in In­dia’. This is the first time that such a Board meet­ing took place away from the com­pany’s head­quar­ters in Saint Cloud, France and was “to re­in­force the ex­ist­ing links and to fi­nalise the roadmap for the es­tab­lish­ment of con­crete meth­ods and pro­cesses to en­sure the ef­fi­ciency and com­pet­i­tive­ness of Das­sault Avi­a­tion in set­ting up its fa­cil­i­ties at Nag­pur.” The joint ven­ture Das­sault Reliance Aerospace Lim­ited was es­tab­lished in April 2015 and foun­da­tion stone of the man­u­fac­tur­ing fa­cil­ity in Mi­han at Nag­pur laid in end-Oc­to­ber 2017.
