As Head – Vis­ual Mer­chan­dis­ing, Store De­sign and Brand­ing at Tan­ishq, Balaji pas­sion­ately talks about his early days as a Vis­ual Mer­chan­diser, his sig­nif­i­cant achieve­ments, his big­gest chal­lenges, and the re­spon­si­bil­ity that the Vis­ual Mer­chan­dis­ing com­mu­nity in In­dia has to un­der­take to reach newer heights in the fu­ture.

More­over, dur­ing his ear­lier days at Tan­ishq, Balaji, drew his in­spi­ra­tion from Ja­cob Kurien – the for­mer C.O.O at Tan­ishq. He shares, “Ja­cob Kurien taught the team to look at things dif­fer­ently, and con­stantly pushed to go be­yond the or­di­nary. Ow­ing to this, the quest to move be­yond the mun­dane has grown ex­po­nen­tially with the peo­ple at Tan­ishq;” a habit that has drawn roots in Balaji as well.
