Celebrity chef Ritu Dalmia’s Italian restaurant Diva now boasts of a café too. Located at GK 2 in Delhi, at Diva, guests can enjoy authentic wood fired pizzas with the finest wines in a casual deli ambience. Ritu and Asha Sairam from Lotus explain what makes the place a sought after one.

The 11 year old restaurant underwent a transformation of interiors to offer separate sections and menus for a young and vibrant café at the ground floor and retaining the fine dining experience at the first floor. Having worked with Lotus last year for Café Diva at GK1, Ritu believes ‘Lotus has an ability to understand and marry our aesthetic requirements keeping with the character of Diva as a brand’. Asha explains, ‘Ritu wanted to try out something different in the two storey restaurant while retaining the personality of the brand that her guests over the years have come to know and love. We took forward the palette and elements created for the brand during the design of Café Diva, GK1 and reinterpreted them in the GK2 outlet to create new and iconic features unique to this space ; such as the staircase, the bar display, the live kitchen and the wine cellar.’ Although Café Diva(GK1) and Diva(GK2) were sister restaurants under the same brand, they had very distinct personalities which shouldn’t

At the first floor the wine cellar, sits as a jewel and forms the backdrop to the entire restaurant
