Rachana’s Laser Health Beauty Clinic is the new destination for Kolkata’s people where you will find that perfect balance of aesthetics, service and right ambience to maintain yourself.

Located conveniently on Ballygunge Circular Road, an elite area in the South of Kolkata, Rachana’s Health Clinic is appropriately accessible from all the parts of the city with all modes of transport. The store design concept was to create a very personalized space that had great ambience, convenience and is comfortable. “To me beauty is something very personal and thus our creative interpretation was to develop it in a manner where each and every client gets a very personalised attention and feels comfortable while getting the treatments. Thus as you enter, the first segment is open to all which is our parlour and which is a common chamber leading to the other specialised corners of the clinic,” explains Rachana Gupta (Bajpai), the owner of the clinic. Spread over a service space of 2300sqft, the clinic interior design personifies beauty and

wellbeing. Mr. Abhyuday Dugar, Managing Director of Outlook Interior Pvt. Ltd. shares, “environmental design has a great impact on a person’s emotional wellbeing, and its value in attracting clients and building up a brand in a comfortable inviting space where a busy professional may satisfy many of their beauty needs under one roof was our target.” The store front design concept was to create an inviting design and impression of spaciousness. Abhyuday explains,

“We wanted clients to walk in and feel hugged by the space, aiming to create a setting that would soothe and reassure clients about their wellbeing. So keeping that in mind the frontage has been kept quite wide by using clear glass with branding, so that the store can be visible from outside too giving a spacious look.” The zoning is done to create adjacencies and convenience between related products or categories. On the front is the laser section; to the right goes therapeutic chambers and the left is the slimming section.10 separate rooms

have been allotted for various therapies, spa, counselling with doctors and dieticians and so on. The zoning strategy further is well described by Mr. Dugar,

“The Reception with glass partition has a very interesting concept that connects to its right –the shampoo station and to left the manager room. The manicure-pedicure zone with the leather recliners is present to give clients comfort and relaxation. To the right is the bridal room which is given privacy with partition in different patterns that have a relaxing effect. The other side of the reception leads to the salon area which is divided through glass partition and leads to the machine room and laser room. Moving further, a passage connects the therapy rooms, the steam room and the shower room.” The lighting arrangement is complimented with white lights and LED’s changing in different colours to break monotony as well as provide a relaxing and positive vibes in the atmosphere. While describing the forms, texture and colour of the outlet Mr. Dugar further shares,

“Like urban planners, interior designers create space and here we tried to improve the air that we breathe, enhance the comfort levels and educate our clients about the power of positive energy. There is an emotional impact of different colours and thus on finishes we strived for a balance of cool and warm. Cool tones of colours are good for lowering anxiety and we have also tried to use warm colours with them. White blends with all colours and gold gives shimmering look. Brown and black have been used to make the effect of other bright colours subside. We also wanted to have the clean lines and materials for the design.”

Speaking on the future plans, Rachana shares, “We are coming up with a new outlet in New Alipore and I would like to expand in the peripherals market as well with my concept which has been welcomed by all my customers since its launch!”
