In Ret­ro­spect: 2012

We as a com­pany have an in­her­ent DNA that makes us adapt and up­grade quickly with chang­ing mar­ket con­di­tions. Our fo­lio con­sists of clients from var­ied in­dus­tries and it has helped us grow de­spite the slug­gish mar­ket con­di­tions. If there was a slow­down in one in­dus­try, then cus­tomers from other in­dus­tries made up for it by giv­ing us more busi­ness. We have also been ac­quir­ing new tech­nolo­gies, soft­ware’s and machines in ac­cor­dance with fu­ture mar­ket con­di­tions. In fact, fu­ture is what we looked at while also adapt­ing out short-term strat­egy based on the mar­ket con­di­tions, though our long-term ob­jec­tive re­mains the same. As a com­pany we are com­mit­ted to mak­ing our pro­duc­tion more and more ef­fi­cient and so we have in­vested a siz­able amount in stream­lin­ing the same.

Ar­rival of FDI

It will def­i­nitely bring more for­eign re­tail­ers to In­dia while cre­at­ing a longterm im­pact. In fact, the im­pact is al­ready so strong that brands have started be­com­ing more fo­cused. In­ter­na­tional brands al­ready hav­ing a pres­ence in In­dia are also buy­ing stakes from their In­dian coun­ter­parts and are be­com­ing more ag­gres­sive.
