Mélange of Pak La­bels


Pak­istan Fash­ion De­sign Coun­cil (PFDC) launched its first stan­dalone bou­tique in the cap­i­tal at South Ex­ten­sion in New Delhi fea­tur­ing the best of Pak­istani bri­dal and for­mal wear to In­dian con­sumers.

Es­tab­lished in Septem­ber 2006, PFDC started its en­deavor with a mem­ber­ship of 30 de­sign­ers, which now has turned into an al­liance of more than 50 de­sign­ers from all over Pak­istan. Il­lu­mi­nat­ing with the aura of Pak­istani mode, PFDC – The Boule­vard of­fers a wide range of de­signs, cuts, em­broi­dery and col­ors to the In­dian mar­ket. The store, spread over 5,500 sq ft, is a blend of con­tem­po­rary de­sign lines and mogul art forms and pat­terns. The de­sign con­cepts are in­spired from in­tri­cate em­broi­dery and prints cel­e­brat­ing the ex­clu­sive crafts­man­ship of Pak­istan in the store en­vi­ron­ment. The store con­cept is ‘house of la­bels’ wherein in­di­vid­ual spa­ces have been cre­ated for each de­signer to ex­press their de­sign and pre­sen­ta­tion iden­tity. The store houses 18
