Span­ish Fash­ion com­pany In­di­tex brings Mas­simo Dutti to In­dia


In­di­tex, the Spain-based re­tail gi­ant has filed an ap­pli­ca­tion to the For­eign In­vest­ment Pro­mo­tion Board (FIPB) to open Mas­simo Dutti stores across In­dia through a joint ven­ture with Tata Group. The news was con­firmed with VJ Me­dia Works ex­clu­sively over email. The news about In­di­tex en­ter­ing In­dia, comes af­ter a num­ber of global play­ers in the fash­ion and ap­parel re­tail sec­tor - like Tesco, IKEA, Wal­mart and Hennes & Mau­ritz group (H&M) - are gear­ing to­wards en­ter­ing the In­dian mar­ket through last year’s re­laxed leg­is­la­tion which al­lows for­eign retailers en­ter the In­dian mar­ket in or­der to boost in­vest­ment from abroad. In­di­tex has more than 6,000 stores in 86 mar­kets world­wide and owns brands like Zara, Pull&Bear, Mas­simo Dutti, Bershka, Stradi­var­ius, Oysho, Zara Home and Uterqüe
