AGL Tiles World opens ex­clu­sive show­room in Ban­ga­lore


Asian Gran­ito In­dia Ltd. has opened an AGL Tiles World Ex­clu­sive show­room in tie up with Ma­gana­halli Ceram­ics, a renowned dealer in Ban­ga­lore, Kar­nataka. This out­let is the com­pany’s sev­enth ex­clu­sive show­room in Kar­nataka. The show­room will fea­ture a wide range of wall and floor tiles of su­pe­rior qual­ity and va­ri­ety un­der a sin­gle roof. This ex­clu­sive out­let in Ban­ga­lore is lo­cated in Ra­jaji Na­gar. While ex­plain­ing the strate­gic plans of the com­pany, Kam­lesh Pa­tel, Chair­man & MD of Asian Gran­ito In­dia Ltd. in­forms, “Kar­nataka has been a very im­por­tant mar­ket for us with a large por­tion of our rev­enues com­ing from the south­ern part of In­dia. We have al­ready opened 12 ‘AGL Tiles World Ex­clu­sive’ stores and in com­ing time will strengthen our pres­ence in South In­dia. With the open­ing of this show­room in Ban­ga­lore, the num­ber of AGL tiles world ex­clu­sives has gone up to 44 out­lets. Com­pany is plan­ning to open 100 ‘AGL Tiles World Ex­clu­sive’ stores in next two years. “Ear­lier tiles were mainly found in bath­rooms and kitchens but now due to the wide range of de­signs and beau­ti­ful char­ac­ter­is­tics, in­te­rior dec­o­ra­tors, ar­chi­tects and in­di­vid­u­als as well are will­ing to use tiles for floor­ing, draw­ing rooms, bed­rooms, ex­te­ri­ors and bal­cony as dec­o­ra­tive prod­ucts. Print­ing tech­nol­ogy too has trans­formed dra­mat­i­cally as dig­i­tal print­ing has opened up new av­enues for the tiles in­dus­try,” fur­ther added Kam­lesh Pa­tel. Ac­cord­ing to the com­pany’s press re­lease, Asian Gran­ito In­dia Lim­ited is listed on NSE and BSE and re­ported turnover of Rs 796 crore in 2012-13.
