The Peter Eng­land Flag­ship Store is spread over an area of 8000 sq. ft. at Indi­rana­gar 100’ Road, Ban­ga­lore. Ex­tend­ing its range from for­mal­wear into a se­lec­tion of ‘work, rest and play’ ap­parel, Peter Eng­land re­quired a new brand nar­ra­tive as well as a new name. ‘Peter Eng­land Gen­er­a­tion’ was cre­ated to sup­port ev­ery as­pect of the mod­ern work­ing man’s life.

For the store front de­sign, the use of English brick helped in con­nect­ing the in­te­rior to the ex­te­rior. The fa­mil­iar brand colours are rep­re­sented, with il­lu­mi­nated con­tem­po­rary sig­nage.

Ar­chi­tec­tural wraps and spine walls de­fine the dif­fer­ent ‘life stages’ and help with nav­i­ga­tion be­tween prod­uct ranges. In­for­mal ta­bles and wardrobe-style fur­ni­ture show­case prod­uct in a more per­sonal way and the in­tro­duc­tion of soft seat­ing ar­eas and dig­i­tal in­stal­la­tions al­lows the cus­tomers to re­lax and en­gage with the brand.

Style tips and prod­uct in­for­ma­tion are in­te­grated into the mer­chan­dis­ing sys­tem, men­tor­ing cus­tomers through their ca­reer path. The con­cept syn­er­gised with graph­ics & sig­nage’s into the store de­sign in­te­grally.

Light­ing De­sign for the PE Gen­er­a­tion store is kept very func­tional and it adds to the over­all de­sign strat­egy start­ing from front façade to the in­te­rior space. Gen­eral strip light­ing in the Ar­chi­tec­tural wraps added with day light down-lighters with ac­cent light on Pe­riph­eral sys­tems and mid floor units for the mer­chan­dise, form the base of the over­all light­ing sys­tems
