Category : Restaurants, Cafes, Pubs & Food Court Project : PROST - Beer Brewery MERIT : Aamir & Hameeda Interiors

Aseemingly bizarre yet stunningly captivating space, the Prost Beer House, acts as a perfect place to unwind and take in the story of its surroundings. Aamir & Hameeda Interiors were approached to do a beer brewery in Bangalore, for which the design firm literally adopted an industrial and rugged concept. For the space, an entire ship from the dockyard was dismantled and used. Every pipe in various shape, size, and nature was used in an interesting and artistic format, which gave a look of an old factory. The interiors take on a rough and worn-out look, where design elements including the furniture, flooring and ceiling blend with the overall industrial concept.

Featuring a double height area, the design team used more than 100 taps with bulbs fixed to them in the form of lighting. Fulfilling the brewery look, the brewing tanks were exposed and lit up. The main texture is that of a 5’ blade which goes through the beam. According to the firm, all forms of metal such as stools, garden instruments and industrial instruments have been incorporated to create a sense of metal madness in the space. “Basically we created a carnage of metal which stands like a museum today with materials which we made recyclable.”
