Category : Durables, Home Electronics, IT & Telecom - Specialty Store ( <10,000 SFT) Project : Channel 9 GOLD : Four Dimensions Retail Design India

Apopular landmark in South Bangalore which started its journey as a video rental library 30 years ago, Channel 9 gradually progressed to selling mobiles from 2000. Taking on a whole new avatar after three decades, the brief was to create an ultramodern three-storey space for mobiles, smart phones, tablets, hand held smart devices, PCs & laptops and accessories.

Four Dimensions Retail Design India decided to go with clean and contemporary here look with a twist in areas like the staircase corridors and accessories zones to make it look young and colourful.

Standing at a prime location in Jayanagar, Bangalore, the façade has been treated with open glass windows, to have the store completely visible from outside, while it also acts as a canvas for the changing visuals and graphics for the technology brands. Changing back-lit graphics, vertical pylon with floor categories are also part of the façade communication.

In sync with a contemporary look, the store uses white as the base for the interior with light oak finishes on the furniture to add warmth. The design language follows a minimalistic approach with high focus on functionality and clean aesthetics.

The staircase area has been highlighted in a different way with a complete twist to the visual language used. According to the design team, this brings in a non-monotonous quotient and triggers interest
