Bosch and Siemens plan to take its store count to 60 in 2015


Bosch and Siemens House­hold Ap­pli­ances an­nounced their plans to dou­ble its store count to over 60 by the end of next year. The company is also gear­ing up to be a lead­ing player in the con­sumer durables seg­ment within five years. "We would have over 60 stores of Bosch and Siemens brands to­gether by the end of next year. Presently, we have 20 stores of Siemens and 12 of Bosch. We would dou­ble brand net­work of Siemens by the end of 2015," says Gun­jan Sri­vas­tava, Man­ag­ing Di­rec­tor & CEO, Siemens Home Ap­pli­ances. It also aims to in­crease its avail­abil­ity at points of sales from 12,000 to 14,000. "We are aim­ing to be a lead­ing player in the do­mes­tic ap­pli­ance sec­tor in next five years. We are hav­ing a dou­ble digit growth rate. In last few months we had around 35 per cent growth rate and would try to keep it," Sri­vas­tava said. The company has opened its first brand store of Bosch House­hold Ap­pli­ances and sec­ond re­tail brand store of Siemens Home Ap­pli­ances in Gur­gaon. The Ger­man company strate­gi­cally aims to lo­calise its prod­ucts for In­dia and eval­u­at­ing op­tions to of­fer en­try-level prod­ucts. In its ini­tial mar­ket­ing strat­egy, the company will first fo­cus on metro mar­kets and will grad­u­ally ex­pand to state cap­i­tals and tier II ci­ties. It has al­ready con­sid­er­able pres­ence in ci­ties such as Bhopal, Coim­bat­ore, Ghazi­abad, Ahmed­abad and Trichur.
