In-Store Asia, the largest show for re­tail ex­pe­ri­ence de­sign and shop­per mar­ket­ing in the In­dian sub-con­ti­nent, is back in 2016 fo­cus­ing on re­tail brands get­ting ‘Fu­ture Ready’ for new age cus­tomers seek­ing in­spir­ing and en­gag­ing ex­pe­ri­ences in shop­ping en­vi­ron­ments. Re­tail­ers and Brands get ready to re­boot their tra­di­tional un­der­stand­ing of ‘re­tail ex­pe­ri­ence’ based on the fast paced evolv­ing needs of the new age con­sumer and shop­per who has the con­ve­nience of stores lit­er­ally in their hands. To in­spire, in­form and en­gage them to buy in re­tail store en­vi­ron­ments it needs a com­bi­na­tion of dif­fer­ent so­lu­tions of di­verse ser­vice providers. The age of col­lab­o­ra­tive so­lu­tions is in­deed in! To­day, re­tail en­vi­ron­ments use the ser­vices of a com­bi­na­tion of ar­chi­tects, store de­signer, visual mer­chan­dis­ers, dig­i­tal mar­keters, an­i­ma­tion ex­perts, tech devel­op­ers, psy­chol­o­gist and en­gi­neers to de­liver unimag­in­able ex­pe­ri­ences. Their clients are look­ing for in­no­va­tive so­lu­tions that could in­te­grate with tech de­vel­op­ments to en­hance prod­uct dis­play and cus­tomer en­gage­ment. The cus­tomers and the re­tail in­dus­try have be­come more aware of re­spon­si­bil­ity to the planet and the ex­pec­ta­tion is to adopt green prac­tices in their pro­cesses and prod­ucts. Value engineering to get the best value for money is an­other ma­jor ex­pec­ta­tion ow­ing to the over­all in­crease in in­vest­ments in cre­at­ing en­gag­ing re­tail en­vi­ron­ments. So­lu­tions for re­tail en­vi­ron­ments are also ex­pected to grow with mul­ti­ple tech­nolo­gies in­te­grated, such as, tech and light­ing or light­ing and fix­tures etc. Also, eth­i­cal and trans­par­ent prac­tices in do­ing busi­ness have be­come a pri­or­ity with the adop­tion of sys­tems and pro­cesses through­out the value chain.
