As an exclusive style partners, SBJ will be dressing the Indian Olympics contingent including the federation officials and Sports ministry officials in their stylish attires designed & fabricated specially to create waves when they attend the official ceremony at the 2016 summer Olympics.
Started in 1980 by Manoj Mehra, SBJ was initially in men’s ethnic wear but with growing trends they started designing western wear too and started catering to international markets also. At present, they serve an elite client base, spanning across the globe and even make suits for Savile Row & Daks, UK. They have also been associated with some of the world’s most renowned brands such as 40 Savile Row, Massimo Rebecchi, PT 01, Scabal, Ermenegildo Zegna, Daks London, Gaudi and Loro Piana, to name a few.
The USP of SBJ as a brand is customisation to the level that the customer would never choose another brand. And that’s how they are differentiators in the market. As a luxury brand, they offer products and fabric that are of international level and the pricing is competitively low. SBJ is divided into four categories which include made to order, custom suits and jackets etc, then its is ready to wear (very limited collection), they are also the leaders in luxury ethnic wear and the last category is women’s wear. The women luxury wears range starts from Rs 50,000 goes upto 6 lakh, the men’s ethnic wear ranges between Rs 30,000-15 lakhs. Their clientele are mostly affluent and have been associated with SBJ since years for their excellent service (customisation, perfection, quality, door step delivery, home appointments) and product. The workshop of SBJ is located in Delhi, Gurgaon, where the best-handpicked tailors and dedicated designers work under the supervision of Manoj Mehra and his son Ayush Mehra overlooks the whole operations.
All the showrooms have similar kind of interiors and sections. The tiles and the floorings are all sourced from India, but the fixtures are fabricated from abroad and furniture is also imported.
There is a wide presence of Study By Janak stores across North India, with five stores in Delhi, NCR and two in Punjab and one in Ahmedabad. There are couple of stores in pipeline but their upcoming stores are opening up in Mall of India and Chandigarh. The brand will also be opening showrooms in some parts of Middle East, USA and Canada.
