Sea­sons be­gan their jour­ney in 1994 as In­dia’s first fur­nish­ing bou­tique with their first out­let in La­j­pat Na­gar. Man­deep Wad­hwa, MD of Sea­sons says that the brand was the first in the fur­nish­ing in­dus­try to have proper MRP tags, proper co­or­di­nated fab­rics, ac­cept credit cards and cus­tomise ev­ery­thing as per the cus­tomers’ homes. Hence, they were the first to start tak­ing care of ser­vic­ing and started with silk, cot­ton and polyester fab­rics. In 1994, 80 per­cent was Sea­son’s fab­ric from their own hand­loom fac­tory and 20 per­cent from abroad, but at present it’s 50 per­cent of what Sea­son man­u­fac­tures and 50 per­cent of in­ter­na­tional brands. Sea­sons was also the first brand that ser­viced for­eign clients such as air­lines and the hos­pi­tal­ity in­dus­try. Their first client was Leela Kem­pen­sky and Oberoi. Sea­son’s ex­port busi­ness helped them a lot in ex­pand­ing their brand in In­dia. Sea­sons has in­tro­duced an ex­cel­lent ser­vice known as “Sea­sons on Call” shop­ping for your home at your home, where they send their ex­pert team con­sist­ing off sales rep­re­sen­ta­tives, de­sign­ers and tai­lors with a van com­pris­ing of all the sam­ples. Sea­sons of­fers stan­dard­ised pric­ing, where the brand be­lieves noth­ing is too high or low priced. Mr Wad­hwa calls it “Happy Pric­ing”, as he be­lieves in not only fit­ting in the client’s bud­get but also the client’s fam­ily and be­lieves in mak­ing his clients happy and sat­is­fied. Sea­sons has fur­ther bi­fur­cated their col­lec­tion to suit the need of ev­ery in­di­vid­ual in the home, whether par­ents, kids, grand­par­ents or teenagers. The three sub-brand in­clude: “My Room” which takes care of cur­tains, while “Olivo” takes care of up­hol­stery and head­boards and is more mas­cu­line and “Tveen” takes care of col­lec­tion for teenager. Dif­fer­ent prod­ucts of Sea­sons com­prises of ex­clu­sive se­lec­tion of cur­tains, cush­ion cov­ers, bed linens, rugs, wooden floor­ings, fab­rics from In­dia and in­ter­na­tional mar­kets. Man­deep Wad­hwa also says that it’s very sat­is­fac­tory to sell prod­ucts in In­dian mar­kets that are ex­ported in­ter­na­tion­ally. They ex­port to Europe, Amer­ica and have few bou­tiques in Mid­dle East and Aus­tralia. Their in-house team de­signs the in­te­ri­ors of the brand’s show­rooms, as the prod­ucts it­self ful­fill the need of in­te­ri­ors. So ide­ally what they sell make up the in­te­ri­ors as well. The win­dow dis­plays are changed ev­ery sea­son in­clud­ing sum­mer, fall and win­ters. Sea­sons have a team of pro­fes­sion­ally trained tai­lors and tex­tile de­sign pass-outs from NID and the best sales rep­re­sen­ta­tives. Sea­sons De­sign Cen­ter is lo­cated at Delhi, while Sea­sons show­room is present in Delhi, Hy­der­abad, Chandi­garh and they re­cently opened their de­sign cen­ter in Ban­ga­lore too. Sea­sons Lounges are in Noida, Coim­bat­ore, Mum­bai and Chandi­garh and have au­tho­rised deal­ers across In­dia.
