Humanizing the retail experience
Along with the rapid acceptance and growth in the use of personal digital devices the experience expectations in physical spaces are also increasing. Today millennials, despite shopping online, prefer to shop in physical stores most of the time. This has brands focussing on delivering memorable experiences at their physical touch points and creating ‘Physical Brands’. Design Thinking trends have realigned to enable the physical store to define brands they represent by offering experiences that address human, social and personal needs of their core customers.
The retail trends article throws some insights into design trends that take consideration of the social and self-esteem needs of the new-age connected customer to deliver inspiring and memorable store experiences.
