Showcasing their latest collection of jewellery titled ‘Bombay Deco’, Caratlane windows draw inspiration from iconic buildings of the city and creates miniatures of the same.
Jewellery brand Caratlane has recently launched its collection, Bombay Deco, that comprises pieces made from enamel, diamonds and gemstones and celebrates the history of Mumbai.
The collection takes its inspiration from the famous art deco buildings of Mumbai such as Eros, Liberty Cinema, India Assurance Building and some of other iconic residential buildings. The effigies of the buildings have been resized for different window sizes available at various Caratlane stores. The installations are lit from inside to give a real 3D effect.l

A lot of focus was given on detailing in this window. We used regular materials like Sunboard, Digital Print, LEDs, etc to keep the cost in control. Pillars were cut and placed separately in layers with halo effect while each window was individually laser cut and separately lit to achieve variation in lighting. Most interesting was the top ring which was laser cut and bended to perfection like an actual ring.
