Taapsee Pannu’s take on rising rapes in India!

Woman's Era - - News -

Actress Taapsee Pannu who has she created a place for herself in the industry with critically-acclaimed movies like Baby, Pink and Naam Shabana was in the capital to promote her movie Dil Junglee. We caught with her and asked her take on the rising number of rapes and sexual assaults in India. She said, “Let’s just say that the reporting of rapes and sexual assaults is on a rise. The only thing that has changed is not only the number of rapes but the reporting has increased. Women have started coming out and reporting these things.”

Further, we asked her about her character Koroli Nair in her upcoming movie Dil Junglee and she shared, “She is a multimillionaire’s daughter but it’s not like that she is a spoilt brat. She lives in her own world where everything is good and there is no reality check. This character has no practicality. Until her bubble bursts and then how she changes becomes the second half of the movie.”

Dil Junglee that also stars Saqib Salem in the lead was earlier scheduled to release on February 16 but now has been postponed to March 9 so as to avoid a clash with Neeraj Pandey’s Aiyaari.

Quite a generic response!
