1 kg chicken 3 tbsp browned onions 3 tsp ginger gar­lic paste 2 tsp green chilli paste 1 cup tomato puree 1 cup mus­tard oil 3 cups jack­fruit peeled and cut into pieces 2 tbsp co­rian­der pow­der 2 tsp jeera pow­der 1 tsp red chilli pow­der 1 tsp an­nar dana pow­der 1 cup mus­tard oil salt to taste


First pre­pare the jack­fruit by boilin it in salted wa­ter. Throw away the wa­ter af­ter boil­ing. Drain and keep aside. The jack­fruit should be cooked but not mushy. Heat the oil and fry the chicken pieces, adding salt . Stir fry till the chicken pieces are browned on both sides. Lower the heat and mix in the kathal and sir fry till the chicken and the kathal get mixed to­gether. Now mix in the paste and the spices and mix well. Stir and cook on low fire adding the tomato puree. Add 1 cup of wa­ter and salt to taste. Cover with a lid and cook on low fire till the chicken pieces are ten­der. Serve with ro­tis
