Woman's Era - - Editorial -

The well known lyricist actor Pa. Vijay has come up with his 2nd directorial venture, Aaruthra, the first one being Strawberry. While the 1st one was a horror film, this 2nd one is a crime thriller set against an emotional backdrop. Pa Vijay plays a person working in a company that sells artefacts. Though there are three heroines in the film-dashitha a Mumbai based model, Kolkata girl Mehali, and Soni from Hyderabad – there aren’t any romantic scenes! Director turned actor S.a.chandrasekaran plays Pa Vijay’s dad in the film. Director K. Bhagyaraj and Naan Kadavul Rajendran appear as investigating officers.

Years earlier, Kamal Hassan had played a don in Manirathnam’s Nayagan; it is now time for his elder brother, Charuhasan, a National award winning actor, to play a 87 year old don (his actual age too, is that!) in a film titled, Dhadha 87! Charuhasan plays a don in this flick produced by Kalai Cinemas which has Anand Pandi & Sri Pallavi as a romantic pair. Veteran Janakaraj appears in a crucial role in the film that has been written & directed by Vijay Sri G. It is worth noting that Charuhasan had played an important cameo in his daughter, Suhasini’s debut film, Nenjathai

Killadhey! This aged don belongs to an entirely different league, it appears!

The title, Maraindirundhey Paarkum Mamrumamenna is the 1st line of a popular song from Thillana Moganaambal featuring Sivaji Ganesan & Padmini. Dhruva of Thilagar fame plays the hero while two well known faces from Bigg Boss (Tamil)-aiswarya Dutta & Anjana Prem play the leading ladies. Saranya Ponvannan, well known character-artiste plays Dhruva’s mother in the film! The others in the cast are Maanobala, Radharavi, Mime Gopi all of who have appeared in crucial roles! Achu Rajamani’s music has already turned a chartbuster. Rakesh, an erstwhile deputy of Mohan Raja has directed the movie.

Romantic films set in a lighter vein have always caught up with the imagination of the viewers, by & large! Here is one more! Kalaiarasan & Kayal Anandhi play the lead play of this humorous tale of love that also has Kali Venkat, Madhumitha & Ashna Jhaveri appear in stellar roles. M.janakiraman, a former deputy of directors, Bala, Balaji Mohan & Sudha Kongara makes his bow as a director through this flick which has music by Nivas K.prasanna. The climax sequences of this film produced by C.v.kumar through his banner, Thirukumaran Entertainment will be new for the audience, says a unit hand! Director Balaji Mohan & Gayatri have appeared in guest roles in the film.

Actor Veera who has already carved a niche for himself in the commercial arena of films is visibly excited about his latest outing titled Arasiyalla

ithellam saatharanamappa directed by a very reputed ad film maker Avinash. The film marks the entry of Auraa cinemas, the banner which has established a reputation as film distributors! While Veera plays the male lead, Malavika Nair who had captured the imagination of the audience in the film, Cuckoo plays the female lead. Pasupathi plays a pivotal role that is bound to give another dimension to the multi talented actor. Touted to be a rib-tickling comedy adventure, Robo Shankar, naan Kadavul Rajendran and Chetan form the rest of the remaining cast.

Immaikka Nodigal featuring Anurag Kashyap as the antagonist is a nail-biting thriller that showcases Nayanthara in a daringly different role! C J Jayakumar of Cameo films, the film also has Atharvaa in an action packed character with Rashi Kanna pairing up with him! R D Rajasekar who usuallyreserves his best for action films has cranked the camera in a befitting manner. Directed by Ajay Gnanamuthu, the film’s music has been composed by Hip Hop Adhi and the background score is much talked about! Kabilan Vairamuthu, lyricist Varimuthu’s second sibling has written a song or the film that has become an anthem for the younger generation! We
