T here are many things which we know ourselves about marriage as we grow. There are many things which our close ones let us know. But there are a few things no one tells you about your wedding day.

Crying is inevitable:

Crying is inevitable particularly for brides. But no one ever tells you to keep some tissue papers handy to save your make-up.

You will be tired of smiling:

Your wedding is a very special day in your life. You will enjoy it so much with your friends and close ones who will make you laugh or smile throughout. But your face gets hurt by laughing or smiling too.

You will be so fatigued :

You might not get proper sleep a day before wedding and also on the wedding day and quite possibly the next day too. This will make you feel exhausted.

You can´t keep everyone happy:

However good may be your plans, you cannot ensure fun and happiness for all your guests and might be even for yourself.

Have a receiving line:

You should have a receiving line and a welcome gesture on your face. You need to say hello and thanks for guests who came to your wedding day.

Change your dress if you happen to use the bathroom:

If you need to go to the restroom, you should take someone close to you to take care of your wedding dress, take off your wedding dress. Dress yourself after you are done.

Give yourself enough time:

Usually despite all efforts, things get behind schedule. Your make-up takes longer than you thought. So better give enough time for it.

Keep some kit handy:

Due to stress and harrassment you might need some mint, painkiller or antacids. So keep these ready.

Walk slowly down the aisle:

Especially for brides, walking slowly down the aisle up to the ceremonial stage or mandap. Brides are having heavy lehngas, it might pick up dirt on the way and it may be dirty particularly at the hems. Keep some baby wipes ready with someone close to you (or your maid of honour), it will clean in no time.

Do some things before the wedding day:

Don´t leave everything for the final day. You can finish off some of the activities a day or two earlier too – like polishing your nails. Also you can get some of your beauty treatments a day or two earlier. This will not only save time on the big day but will give you time to recover from any possible allergic reactions.

Love is life. And if you miss love, you miss life.
