Alila Ubud opens its doors and in­vites dis­cern­ing din­ers to en­joy a whole new culi­nary con­cept at two of its food and bev­er­age out­lets: Plan­ta­tion Restau­rant and Ca­bana Lounge. Helmed by Ex­ec­u­tive Chef Er­wan Wi­jaya, the first one proudly im­ple­ments the farm-to-ta­ble con­cept – favour­ing in­gre­di­ents that are grown and/ or bought lo­cally. Plan­ta­tion spoils guests with sea­sonal dishes from pan-seared lo­cal scal­lops with tapi­oca herb crème fraiche and salmon caviar, to Ubud's tra­di­tional recipes such as ayam be­tutu – all ac­com­pa­nied by the lush rain­for­est sur­round­ing. Mean­while, for some­thing more laid­back, the Ca­bana Lounge can be found right next to the strik­ing swim­ming pool, serv­ing en­er­gis­ing juices, eclec­tic cock­tails and de­lec­ta­ble bites.
