News updates from the tourism industry and what’s new beyond Bali
Looking for a new comfortable hotel to stay in Yogyakarta? Look no more because AccorHotels has just opened not one but two new hotels on Jalan Laksda Adi Sucipto. Highlighting Javanese traditions, Grand Mercure Yogyakarta Adi Sucipto, with a design much inspired by the Borobudur Temple, offers 305 luxurious rooms equipped with modern facilities (price starts from Rp. 844,000 nett) – some rooms are also disabled-friendly. Grand Mercure has a number of restaurants, such as Purple Restaurant, 80’8 Bar and Piazza Open Theatre. Other facilities include Wi-Fi connection, a business center, and an infinity swimming pool with a view of the city’s skyline, a spa, and more.
Standing right next to Grand Mercure is Ibis Yogyakarta Adi Sucipto, a budget hotel with modern design and international-standard hospitality. Ibis Yogyakarta offers 144 rooms – all are equipped with Sweet Bed by Ibis for a quality sleep – and restaurants like Kitchen Wok and Rendevous Bar which are ready to serve guests delicious food. Rooms at Ibis are available from Rp. 482,000 nett, but by paying an additional Rp. 300,000/person, guests staying at Ibis can also use Grand Mercure’s facilities, such as the swimming pool and spa.
