AMANUSA
Twenty minutes from Bali’s international airport, Amanusa (`peaceful isle’) provides a panoramic eyrie on Bali’s southern peninsula, overlooking Nusa Dua and the Indian Ocean. Adjacent to the Bali National Golf Course, 31 thatched-roof suites are linked by walled walkways to resort facilities. Seven suites have private pools. All suites feature a queen-size, four-poster bed and bay-window sofa, plus an outdoor terrace with an oversized day bed and canopy for sunning and dining, as well as a garden courtyard. An expansive bathroom features an indoor sunken bathtub overlooking a lily pond, large dressing area, twin vanities and louvered cupboards, and sliding doors which open to a flowering terrace area where an outdoor shower has been built into the stone perimeter wall. Amanusa’s Beach Club sits on a white-sand surf beach, with kayaking, cruising and in-season surfing lessons among activities. Light meals and refreshments are served at an informal restaurant. Seaside massage is available at eight open-air private gazebos, as are candle-lit barbecues and
sunrise breakfasts. The resort’s 20 by 24 metre pool is bordered by a flowering trellis, providing poolside and private dining options. Amanusa offers a boardroom with conference facilities and can assist in arranging corporate tennis or golf tournaments.
