Bulgari is a major player in both high-end jewelry as well as fine watchmaking. The new Bulgari Lucea Il Giardino Paradiso is a testament to both territories with a magnificent display of elaborate dial decoration and a superb movement. The former takes the form of a sky blue mother-of-pearl background upon which vibrantly colored birds of paradise are painted among flowers and tree branches. Two variations of this theme are available, one with a palette angling more toward a passionate red while the other leans more toward blue; either scene is accentuated by strategically placed diamonds among the foliage. This picture is then brought to life as it ticks to the rhythm of the watch’s movement, while a tourbillon counts cadence up front. As can be expected from such an intricate creation, the Lucea Il Giardino Paradiso is a limited edition watch, with only 50 pieces of each variation made available.
