WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A SUIT JACKET, BLAZER AND A SPORTS JACKET?

DA MAN - Style - - Style FAQ -

A suit jacket is designed and manufactured as part of a “suit” of clothes. It might be single or double breasted, but the key point for a suit jacket is that it’s one part of a set of matching garments. A sports jacket, on the other hand, is meant as a standalone garment. It might look like a suit jacket, but it was not designed to be worn with perfectly matching trousers. Finally, a blazer stands in between suit jackets and sport jackets in terms of formality. They come in solid colors and are usually softer in construction.
