The Male Essence
There’s no doubt that the new Jean Paul Gaultier’s new Le Mâle Essence de Parfum is visually striking. The new bottle comes in a more clear-cut and crystalized form. Crafted by Quentin Bisch, a rising star in the perfume industry known for his previous collaborations with Azzaro’s Pour Homme or Carolina Herrera’s Mystery Tobacco, this new scent adds a modern twist to the original 1995 Le Mâle without losing its essence. Bisch did this by keeping the scent very much aromatic and spicy, like its original. The main difference lies in the middle notes, where leather and lavender make the scent smoky and masculine. This and other tweaks create a powerful and musky scent, great for an elegant night on town.
